Job summary

Dow is seeking an Associate Analytical Technician in Kankakee, IL to support manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses and preparing samples. You will maintain instruments, collect data, and report results to operators and engineers, following established procedures.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime. Prior chemistry-focused experience and a strong safety mindset are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour, rotating shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Train to perform routine analyses under supervision.
• Collect samples per Sample Plan.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluate data validity for routine analyses.
• Monitor analytical systems and escalate issues.
• Document, communicate and archive results.
• Adhere to EH&S and ODMS procedures.
• Suggest improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Perform lab housekeeping and restocking.
