Job summary

Dow is hiring an Associate Analytical Technician in Kankakee, IL. You will support manufacturing by performing laboratory analyses, preparing samples, maintaining instruments, and reporting results to operators and engineers.

Preferred candidates hold an Associate’s degree or higher in chemistry, 2+ years lab experience, and knowledge of gravimetric, volumetric, and temperature measurements. US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analyses under supervision until proficient.
• Collect samples per Sample Plan.
• Maintain analytical systems and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Evaluate data validity and take appropriate action.
• Document and archive results.
• Follow EH&S and ODMS procedures.
• Suggest lab process improvements.
• Handle non-routine requests with team guidance.
• Maintain lab housekeeping and inventory.
• Process shipping paperwork.
