Job summary

Dow is seeking an Associate Analytical Technician at our Kankakee, IL site to support manufacturing by performing routine laboratory analyses and data reporting. You will prepare samples, maintain instruments, and assist engineers and operators with data interpretation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States (no sponsorship).
• Associate's degree or higher in chemistry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train on routine analyses under supervision until proficient.
• Collect samples per the Sample Plan.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluate data validity and escalate issues as needed.
• Document and archive analytical results.
• Follow EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks.
• Propose improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Handle non-routine requests with appropriate follow-up.
• Perform lab housekeeping and inventory restocking.
• Process shipping paperwork as required.
