Job summary

Dow is seeking an Associate Analytical Technician at our Kankakee, IL site to support manufacturing by conducting laboratory analyses, preparing samples, maintaining instrumentation, and reporting results to production personnel.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, overtime as needed, and U.S. work authorization. Preferred: an Associate’s degree in chemistry and 2+ years of lab experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Trains to perform routine analyses under supervision until proficient.
• Collects samples per the Sample Plan.
• Performs basic preventive maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluates data validity for routine analyses and takes action.
• Monitors analytical systems and escalates issues as needed.
• Documents, communicates, and archives analytical results and data.
• Adheres to EH&S and ODMS procedures for work tasks.
• Suggests improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Escalates non-routine requests for follow-up.
• Performs lab housekeeping and restocking of inventory.
• Processes shipping paperwork.
