Job summary

Dow invites applications for an Associate Analytical Technician in Kankakee, IL. You will support manufacturing by conducting laboratory analyses, preparing samples, and maintaining instrumentation to deliver accurate data to operators and engineers.

The role requires a high school diploma (or GED), willingness to rotate 12-hour shifts, overtime, and U.S. work authorization. SAP and MS Office skills are preferred along with chemistry training.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
• U.S. work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Trains to perform routine analyses under supervision until proficient.
• Collects samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Performs basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluates data validity and takes appropriate action.
• Monitors analytical systems and escalates problems as needed.
• Documents, communicates and archives analytical results and data.
• Follows EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks.
• Suggests improvements to lab work processes and tools.
• Performs lab housekeeping and processes shipping paperwork.
