Job summary

Dow is seeking an Associate Analytical Technician in Kankakee, IL to support manufacturing by performing routine laboratory analyses, sample prep, and data reporting to operators and engineers. You’ll maintain instrumentation, follow SOPs, and help ensure EH&S compliance while contributing to quality data and process improvements.

Requirements include a high school diploma, willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, and US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Train to perform routine analyses under supervision.
• Collect samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluate data validity and take appropriate action.
• Monitor analytical systems and escalate issues.
• Document and archive analytical results and data.
• Follow EH&S and ODMS procedures and practices.
• Suggest improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Handle non-routine requests with senior team input.
• Perform lab housekeeping and manage inventory and shipping paperwork.
