Job summary

Dow has an opportunity for an Associate Analytical Technician at our Kankakee, IL facility. You will support manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses, preparing samples, and maintaining instrumentation.

You will report results to production personnel, follow SOPs, and contribute to continuous improvement. The role requires basic lab skills, willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, overtime as needed, and legal ability to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or higher in chemistry preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of lab techniques and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Train to perform routine analyses under supervision.
• Collect samples and follow the Sample Plan.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluate data validity and escalate issues as needed.
• Document and archive analytical results and data.
• Follow EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks.
• Suggest improvements to lab processes.
• Process shipping paperwork.
• Laboratory housekeeping and inventory restocking.
