Job summary

Dow is seeking an Associate Analytical Technician in Kankakee, IL to support manufacturing by performing laboratory analyses, preparing samples, and maintaining instrumentation. You will report results to operators, engineers, and production teams, following SOPs and analytical methods.

The role requires routine lab work, data validation, and adherence to EH&S. It involves 12-hour rotating shifts and potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour, rotating shifts.
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Trains to perform routine analyses under supervision until proficient.
• Collects samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Performs basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluates validity of data for routine analyses and takes action.
• Monitors analytical systems and escalates issues as needed.
• Documents and archives analytical results and data.
• Follows EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks.
• Suggests improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Performs lab housekeeping and restocking.
• Handles shipping paperwork as required.
