Job summary

Dow is seeking an Associate Analytical Technician in Kankakee, IL to support manufacturing by conducting laboratory analyses and reporting critical data.

You will prepare samples, maintain instruments, and follow standard procedures to ensure data quality. The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts and US work authorization, with strong safety culture and growth opportunities within Dow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour, rotating shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Train to perform routine analyses under supervision until proficiency is demonstrated.
• Collect samples per Sample Plan.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Provide evaluation of data validity for routine analyses.
• Monitor analytical systems and escalate problems as appropriate.
• Document, communicate and archive analytical results and data.
• Follow EH&S and operating discipline management system procedures for tasks.
• Suggest improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Escalate non-routine requests for follow-up.
• Perform lab housekeeping and restocking.
• Process shipping paperwork.
