Job summary

Dow has an opportunity for an Associate Analytical Technician at our Kankakee (IL, USA). You will support manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses, as needed, preparing samples, maintaining instrumentation, and reporting results to production personnel.

This role requires established laboratory skills to perform routine tasks using SOPs, with a focus on safety, EH&S, and continuous improvement in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Trains to perform routine analyses under supervision until proficient.
• Collects samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Performs basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluates data validity for routine analyses and escalates issues.
• Monitors analytical systems and escalates problems as appropriate.
• Documents and archives analytical results and data.
• Follows EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks.
• Suggests improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Performs lab housekeeping and restocking inventory.
• Processes shipping paperwork.
