Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring a Field Service Engineer I to install, commission, service, and calibrate analytical instruments at customer sites across multiple U.S. regions. The role requires strong mechanical/electrical skills, problem-solving, and excellent communication to build trusted customer relationships.

Significant travel (up to 80%) is expected with remote support as needed. Ideal candidates have a technical degree and hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical, optical, computer, or software systems.
• Experience in field service or customer-facing roles is beneficial.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, calibration, and testing of Thermo Scientific instrumentation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration to maintain performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, optical, and software issues.
• Travel to customer locations within the assigned territory and document service activities.
• Provide customer training and escalate complex issues as needed.
