Job summary

American Electric Power in Texas is seeking a Meter Servicer to perform meter reading, disconnect/reconnect service, and maintenance of AMI equipment. You will respond to service calls, identify abnormal readings, and support storm restoration efforts as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and basic electrical understanding. OT and on-call rotations may be required. Training and compliance with safety rules are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Disconnect and reconnect electrical service as directed for service orders or disconnections.
• Inspect, test, and program meters and AMI equipment.
• Respond to service calls and assist with storm restoration as needed.
• Read billing and non-billing meters and maintain inventory of meters.
• Operate data entry in the work management system and keep records up to date.
