Job summary

Kelsey Seybold Clinic, Downtown at Shops, part of the Optum family, seeks an Ambulatory Service Representative III for per diem coverage. You will manage financial reviews, patient access, scheduling, and records with emphasis on accuracy and patient satisfaction across a busy multi-specialty clinic in Houston.

The role requires strong English communication, EMR proficiency, and a customer-focused approach to support a high-quality health care experience for diverse patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years medical office experience including face-to-face customer service, cash handling, patient registration, scheduling, billing, and multi-line phone system, or 1+ year KSC experience as ASR II.
• EMR experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web.
• Excellent customer service in person and over the telephone.

Responsibilities

• ASR III performs duties as financial reviewer, patient service representative, PBX operator, appointments clerk, and medical records clerk.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the site manager.
• Contributes to a team environment aiming to deliver accurate, timely patient services.
