Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking a versatile support role to handle financial reviewer, patient service, PBX, appointments clerk, and medical records clerk duties across one of our Houston locations. This role supports the site manager and may take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in medical office settings, EMR experience, strong MS Office skills, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of medical office experience including customer service, cash handling, patient registration, scheduling, billing, and answering a multi-line phone system, OR 1+ year KSC Ambulatory Service Rep II experience.
• EMR experience required.
• Proven solid computer skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Excellent customer service skills in person and by phone.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed job requirements of a financial reviewer, patient service representative, PBX operator, appointments clerk and/or medical records clerk.
• Will perform other duties as assigned by the site manager.
