Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a friendly receptionist in San Diego to be the first point of contact for members and patients. You will assist with registration under minimal supervision, handle cash transactions, and support day-to-day operations using Kaiser systems and devices.

As a receptionist, you will greet visitors, provide directions, schedule appointments, verify benefits, and ensure accurate patient data while maintaining confidentiality and a courteous, service-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must successfully pass basic computer literacy test.
• Must successfully pass cash handling skills test
• Must pass Customer Service Assessment test

Responsibilities

• Greets members/patients and provides reception services, directing and assisting them through the medical center.
• Schedules member and non-member appointments and follow-ups by various channels.
• Verifies benefits and updates demographics and billing information; escalate issues as needed.
• Performs cash handling and reconciles cash with the computer system as required.
