Job summary

DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan is seeking a business administrator to support Ambulatory Services, overseeing registration, coding and billing activities. You will coordinate charge entries, train staff, and help reduce billing errors across physician and satellite sites.

The role involves ensuring compliance with third-party regulations, monitoring denials, and assisting leadership with process standardization and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Finance or related field, or equivalent.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience providing related administrative/operational/financial support.
• Billing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide business administrative support for Ambulatory Services across hospital(s).
• Monitor workflow, data entry of clinic charges, CDM maintenance and corrections.
• Serve as liaison between physicians and satellite clinics for registration and charge entry errors.
• Coordinate monthly education/training sessions and share performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with third party regulations and contract changes.
