DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan is seeking a Patient Access/Admitting professional to register and schedule patients for health services, verify insurance benefits, and assist with payment arrangements. You will collaborate with clinical teams to ensure smooth admission processes and accurate billing while maintaining exceptional patient service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and verifies demographic and insurance information.
• Registers and schedules patients for health services and pre-admission activities.
• Obtains insurance data and assists with forms and signatures as required.
• Provides financial counseling and identifies alternate payment sources.
• Ensures accuracy of data for billing and compliance with third‑party payers.
• Answers inquiries and maintains patient records and charts.
• Coordinates scheduling of tests and services according to guidelines.
• Interacts with clinical staff to distribute exam results in a timely manner.
