Qualifikationen

• Two to three years of progressively responsible experience in patient access, hospital registration or related area.
• Advanced knowledge of third party payer requirements and copayments/deductible collections.
• Ability to verify insurance coverage and authorize referrals.

Aufgaben

• Provide training and orientation on department methods and policies.
• Verify insurance coverage, calculate estimated patient liability and assist with financial counseling.
• Register and schedule patients; collect required forms and signatures.
• Resolve complex eligibility or insurance verification problems with multiple payers.
• Support bed management and ensure accurate bill production.
