Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a dedicated supervisor to coordinate activities and staff in an ambulatory office. You will supervise patient care, ensure prompt, courteous service, monitor daily operations, and coach staff to uphold policies and maintain high patient satisfaction.

This role includes tracking reports, addressing patient and staff concerns, assisting with budgeting, organizing tasks, hiring and evaluating employees, and communicating changes to leadership in a clinical setting with exposure to

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date
  • Three years of health care experience
  • Ability to assist patients and move equipment and supplies
  • Lift up to 60 pounds, push carts, and position patients for less than 50% of work time
  • May require bending and stretching movements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to communicable disease and bloodborne pathogens

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and coordinates activities and employees of the ambulatory office
  • Supervises and coordinates patient care activities within the ambulatory office
  • Provides daily supervision to staff to ensure prompt and courteous service
  • Monitors daily operations for adherence to administrative and departmental policies and procedures
  • Coaches and counsels staff based on performance management principles
  • Identifies employees’ continuing education needs
  • Communicates processes, policies, and other changes to staff
  • Gathers statistics, completes reports, and performs scheduled or requested duties
  • Communicates daily operational status and workflow problems to the Manager or Director
  • Handles patient, family, and staff complaints and recommends resolutions
  • Coordinates problem resolution with other departments
  • Organizes and prioritizes daily tasks to achieve productivity, accountability, and efficiency
  • Maintains operational knowledge and provides staffing support as needed
  • Monitors and reports patient satisfaction issues to the Manager or Director
  • Assists with the annual budget process
  • Selects, hires, manages, and continuously evaluates employees

Requirements
