Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree OR high school diploma AND three (3) years of healthcare experience
  • Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date
  • State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable) as required for regulated areas
  • Two (2) years in a healthcare management/supervisory position
  • Good health to assist patients and move equipment and supplies
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and move equipment
  • Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to communicable disease and bloodborne pathogens

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management of assigned areas
  • Translate objectives, plans, and procedures into effective actions to ensure quality patient care
  • Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate patient-care delivery
  • Develop and support strategies for quality patient care and positive patient relations
  • Monitor and evaluate quality of care and compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and access and service standards
  • Coordinate activities between clinical services and other clinical units
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director, physicians, medical staff, ancillary service providers, and other personnel
  • Coordinate, organize, and delegate departmental operations
  • Resolve patient-care issues and promote patient-focused care
  • Review outcomes and operational systems to drive continuous quality improvement
  • Select, hire, train, manage, and continuously evaluate employees
  • Provide performance feedback, coaching, counseling, orientation, in-services, continuing education, and professional development
  • Assist with clinic budgets and oversee cost-effective staffing, schedules, equipment, supplies, and payroll documents
  • Participate in committees and complete additional assigned projects
  • Directly supervise clinical-unit support staff, including nurses, assistants, insurance specialists, coordinators, registration, and technical staff

Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree OR high school diploma AND three (3) years of healthcare experience
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
  • State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas
  • Two (2) years in a healthcare management/supervisory position
  • Good to excellent health in order to assist patients and move equipment and supplies
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, push carts, and position patients for less than 50% of work time
  • May require bending and stretching movements
  • Ability to work in a clinical environment with regular and constant exposure to communicable disease and bloodborne pathogens
