Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Ambulatory Nursing to lead site-based nursing teams, oversee patient care delivery, and ensure safety and quality in ambulatory services.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you will set standards, coach staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with other departments to improve patient experiences and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.
• RN licensure in MD/DC required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops site/office goals, policies, and procedures with the Nursing Director.
• Maintains relationships across disciplines to ensure efficient patient care.
• Conducts annual performance reviews and supports staff development.
• Manages staffing in collaboration with leadership to ensure quality care.
• Leads safety initiatives and participates in performance improvement.
