Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of clinical Medical Assistant experience required.
• BLS certification is required per division guidelines.
• Ability to perform routine and complex MA-level technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and policies; maintains competency.
• Performs rooming, vitals, med reconciliation, history and screenings.
• Assists providers with procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture and lab specimen handling; POCT as directed.
• Administers meds/vaccines following rights.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and equipment.
• Communicates effectively; escalates as needed.
• May train teammates or serve on a committee.
