Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will perform rooming, vitals, med reconciliation, and health screenings while assisting providers with procedures and maintaining compliance with CLIA-waived lab testing.

The role requires completion of an accredited MA program or equivalent training, plus two years of MA experience and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable military training/ EMT in lieu of a formal MA program.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follow policies.
• Perform rooming tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, specimen handling, and CLIA-waived labs.
