Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting in High Point, NC. You will room patients, record vitals, review medical history, and assist with procedures under supervision.

The role includes venipuncture, specimen handling, and lab tests per guidelines, plus medication administration and patient education. Two years of MA experience and current BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a clinical practice as a Medical Assistant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.
• Proficient with electronic medical records systems and basic Windows navigation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Medical Assistant scope of practice and training.
• Perform rooming tasks: vitals, history, screenings, medication reconciliation.
• Assist providers with procedures and manage lab duties (venipuncture, POCT, specimen handling).
• Administer medications and vaccines following rights of administration.
• Handle referrals, scheduling, insurance authorizations, and patient messaging.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and support training of teammates.
