Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking an Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver direct patient care in the outpatient GI Endoscopy setting. The role includes patient education, pre-endoscopy assessment, and post-anesthesia monitoring, with cross-cover expectations as needed.

The position requires current RN license, at least one year RN experience, and the ability to work flexible hours, including days/evenings/nights.

Qualifications

• RN license by state requirements.
• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program (BSN preferred).
• One year RN experience in applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is required.
• ACLS certification or training required within 3–6 months of employment.
• Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in outpatient GI Endoscopy.
• Provide patient education prior to endoscopy and post-anesthesia monitoring.
• Cross-cover as patient needs dictate in intake and endoscopy areas.
• Collaborate with MD and healthcare team to ensure best patient care.
• Interpret ECG rhythms; maintain healthcare data and billing accuracy.
