Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN seeks an Ambulatory Care RN for the GI Endoscopy outpatient setting to provide direct patient care and education.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification within first 3–6 months of employment.
• New graduate RNs may apply through the Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and education in the outpatient GI Endoscopy setting.
• Cross-cover as needed to support patient care.
• Conduct focused history and pre-procedure assessment; review medical history, medications, and allergies.
• Educate patients about endoscopic procedures; monitor post-anesthesia recovery.
• Collaborate with MD and healthcare team to ensure high-quality care.
• Possess strong communication and charting skills; manage multiple computer applications.
