Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the outpatient GI Endoscopy setting. You will provide direct patient care, educate patients undergoing endoscopy, and collaborate with the medical team to ensure safe, efficient care.

The role requires an active RN license, at least one year of RN experience, and ACLS certification within the first 3–6 months. BSN is preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience required.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• ACLS certification must be attained within the first 3–6 months of employment.
• BSN preferred; ICU/PCU/ER/PACU and ECG interpretation experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the outpatient GI Endoscopy setting.
• Provide patient education for endoscopic procedures and assess medical history.
• Monitor patients post-anesthesia and ensure discharge criteria are met.
• Collaborate with MD and healthcare team to ensure high-quality care.
• Coordinate care and adapt to a fast-paced, detailed environment.
