Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks an Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver direct patient care in the outpatient GI Endoscopy setting. The RN will educate patients, monitor post-anesthesia patients, and collaborate with the medical team to ensure high-quality care. New graduates may apply through the Nurse Residency Program. ACLS certification should be attained within the first 3–6 months.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience required.
• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program, as recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• ACLS certification within first 3–6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in outpatient GI Endoscopy.
• Provide patient education for endoscopic procedures.
• Monitor patients post-anesthesia and ensure discharge criteria are met.
• Collaborate with MD and healthcare team for optimal patient care.
• May cross-cover as patient needs dictate.
