Job summary

Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is seeking a Patient Service Representative II for the Ambulatory Float Pool to ensure smooth outpatient flow and high patient satisfaction. You will coordinate appointments, answer calls, manage referrals, and assist patients and families with financial clearance and documentation.

Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure in a team environment are essential. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of customer service experience, including at least 1 year in a medical office.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with telephone manner; flexible and proactive in a fast-paced team environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance plans; comfortable with computers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate appointments, scheduling, and referrals to support clinic operations.
• Answer and screen incoming calls, relay messages to clinicians, and assist patients and families.
• Assist with financial clearance and verification processes; support daily clinic preparation and communications.
