Job summary

Michigan Medicine seeks an Administrative Manager Associate for the Briarwood Medical Group Ambulatory Care Unit. You will lead administrative operations, align staffing, and drive improvements across care delivery and space management.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with IT and central services to optimize workflow and patient satisfaction. Bachelor’s degree and management experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of clinical care models and standards at ACU level.
  • Implementation of provider deployment and staffing optimization.
  • Identify non-provider staff needs at the clinic/ACU.
  • Review visit productivity to revise staffing models.
  • Oversee clinic workflow, scheduling, check-in/out, and referrals.
  • Pilot new ambulatory care models to improve value-based care.
  • Supervise operational and administrative staff and support professional development.
  • Oversee day-to-day ACU operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Onboard new providers and support staff with triad partners.
  • Manage hiring, discipline, and performance evaluation for ACU staff.
  • Provide feedback on operational issues involving providers.
  • Manage billing and other fiscal activities; monitor metrics.
  • Review processes for policy compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT and support services to meet goals.
  • Allocate space and plan improvements for ambulatory facilities.
  • Develop policies to improve patient satisfaction using feedback.
  • Address patient feedback and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Medical Director to review incident reports and onboarding policies.
  • Ensure scheduling aligns with ambulatory care principles.
  • Lead weekly/monthly meetings with data-driven planning.
  • Oversee ACU expansion and cross-service engagement.
