Job summary

USC Care Medical Group seeks an intermediate Support Coordinator II to ensure smooth outpatient flow and optimal patient satisfaction within the Ambulatory clinic. You will coordinate multiple appointments across multi-specialty services and assist with daily clinic preparation, intake, referrals, and communications.

Responsibilities include heavy phone handling, scheduling, data entry, and ensuring accurate medical records and insurance verifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service, intake and scheduling.
• Proven record dealing with the public in a customer service role.
• Familiarity with word processing, Outlook, intranet; GE Centricity, Cerner, PBAR, scheduling systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English (read, write, speak).
• Flexible, proactive, team-oriented, able to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of insurance plans and government health programs.
• Ability to process new referrals and scheduling independently.

Responsibilities

• Process new referrals and obtain required outside medical records.
• Schedule evaluations and clinic appointments in a timely manner.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing and communications for care team.
• Assist with billing documentation and patient communications.
• Provide patient care guidance and assist with insurance questions as needed.
