Job summary

USC Care Medical Group in California is seeking a Support Coordinator III to ensure smooth outpatient flow in the Ambulatory clinic. You will handle customer service, heavy phone answering, intake, scheduling, insurance verification, and coordination of referrals and charge tickets.

This role requires excellent communication, proficiency with medical terminology, and the ability to work with diverse physicians and staff to optimize patient care and clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mastery in customer service, intake and scheduling.
• Proven knowledge of insurance billing, admitting, or registration in a hospital/medical office.
• Must have excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Clerical: enter information accurately into computer systems and process referrals promptly.
• Schedule patient evaluations and clinic appointments per physician requests.
• Verify insurance benefits, prepare charge tickets, and coordinate surgeries/diagnostics.
• Coordinate patient flow and act as liaison between clinic and referring physicians.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure timely documentation.
