Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking an Ambulatory Service Rep II for the Orthopedic Clinic to support clinical practice by handling billing, charge entries, and managed care tasks, while also assisting with front-end patient access.

The role covers front desk functions, patient registration, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, co-payment collection, and coordination of credentialing and administrative duties, with a focus on accurate data and courteous service.

Qualifications

• HS/GED with 3+ years relevant experience or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s with 1 year relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with medical billing or a similar setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Charge entry and batch controls.
• Billing edits and hold bill edits.
• Charge reconciliations and managed care functions.
