Responsibilities

• Receives patients, verifies identity with two identifiers, directs to next destination and updates waiting times.
• Collects demographic and financial information to establish a billable account in the EMR and revenue system.
• Schedules new and return ambulatory visits, pre-registers patients, coordinates referrals and tests, and manages cancellations.
• Answers phone; routes calls to providers; opens telephone encounters in the EMR; coordinates messages and follow-ups.
• Edits registration data and assists in charge reconciliation; ensures accurate patient schedules and data quality.
