Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply school learning in real-world practice within our pharmacy teams. Under a preceptor, you complete a comprehensive training roadmap, participate in KLEs, and assist in ensuring safe, accurate prescriptions and caring service.

You will learn store, district, and regional operations, follow SOPs, and contribute to an inclusive culture while gaining hands-on experience under licensed pharmacists.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly between tasks, ensure prescription labeling accuracy.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people in a friendly manner, respond to patients appropriately.
• Communication Skills: verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues.
• Mathematical Reasoning: compute quantities, days’ supply, and bottle counts for prescriptions.
• Problem Resolution: handle challenging patient or colleague interactions by selecting best action.
• Physical Demands: be mobile, lift and move items, and perform related tasks.
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
