Job summary

VML, part of WPP, seeks an Associate Director, Commerce Operations to join the Amazon squad in Seattle. You will bridge Retail Services leadership and Commerce managers, translating performance data into strategic recommendations and guiding growth priorities across promotions, catalog optimization, and inventory readiness.

This hybrid role requires strong Excel expertise, 5–8 years in enterprise Amazon account management, and a proven ability to present to clients.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years managing Amazon Vendor Central (1P) and Seller Central (3P) accounts, preferably in an agency setting.
• Strong commercial acumen to translate data into actionable client recommendations.
• Deep practical knowledge of Amazon templates, variations, and ticketing ecosystem.
• Proficient in advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, text operations) for large catalogs.
• Ability to synthesize data into executive-ready visuals and storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Strategic & Commercial advisory: provide day-to-day strategic support with clear commercial context.
• Retail priorities & planning: advise on promotions, content, catalog, availability, and retail execution.
• Advanced Amazon expertise: guide catalog setup, PDP optimization, A+ content, and imagery.
• Operational audits & health: assess in-stock, PO rejections, missed sales, SKU profitability.
• Collaborative troubleshooting: partner with managers to resolve catalog errors and platform hurdles.
• Performance analysis: interpret Amazon data to drive strategic next steps and client value.
