VML, part of WPP, seeks a versatile Associate Director, Commerce Operations to join our Amazon squad. You’ll sit between the Retail Services Lead and the Commerce Managers, blending strategic planning with hands-on execution.

In this hybrid role, you translate client performance into actionable recommendations, guide on promotions, catalog optimization, retail readiness, and supply chain efficiencies, while leading for growth.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience managing enterprise-level Amazon Vendor Central (1P) and Seller Central (3P) accounts, ideally within an agency setting.
• Ability to interpret complex data and turn performance trends into actionable recommendations for clients.
• Deep knowledge of Amazon inventory templates, category templates, variation relationships, and the ticketing system.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day strategic support, giving commercial context to marketplace trends and operational issues.
• Advise on priorities across promotions, content, catalog, availability, and retail execution to drive performance and growth.
• Guide best practices for catalog setup, PDP optimization, A+ Content, imagery, and variation structures.
• Conduct holistic audits of marketplace operations and present findings on in-stock availability, PO rejection rates, missed sales, and SKU profitability.
• Partner with commerce managers to resolve complex operational scenarios and establish clear escalation paths.
