Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is seeking a guest-focused server to provide exemplary service in a fast-paced environment. You will greet guests, present menus, take orders, and collaborate with culinary teams to ensure exceptional dining experiences.

The role emphasizes upselling, accurate payment handling, and maintaining a spotless dining area while delivering Omni’s All-In impression standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year serving experience.
• Must acquire TIPS and ServSafe certifications.
• Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and present items with the Omni All-In impression.
• Set tables according to event/service standards.
• Suggestively sell food and beverage items; answer questions and offer recommendations.
• Communicate meal requirements, allergies and special requests to culinary team.
• Record transactions in MICROS in a timely manner and maintain cash handling accuracy.
• Ensure guest satisfaction with each course and process payment accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas; assist with station setup/breakdown and side-work.
• Be pleasant, greet guests using surnames when available.
