Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is seeking a courteous and experienced server to provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced resort environment. You will greet guests, take orders, and coordinate with culinary staff to ensure dietary needs and special requests are met.

Responsibilities include table setup, suggestive selling, accurate MICROS transactions, and maintaining cleanliness while delivering Omni's All-In standards. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year serving experience.
• Must acquire TIPS and ServSafe certifications.
• Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Clear and pleasant English communication with guests and team.
• Ability to input information into MICROS accurately.
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
• Ability to work cohesively with coworkers across departments.
• Ability to handle fast-paced guest requests and shifts including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and present tables per event standards.
• Suggestively sell menu items and answer questions.
• Coordinate with culinary team regarding meal requirements and dietary needs.
• Record transactions in MICROS and process payments.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and station setup/breakdown.
• Be pleasant, greet guests, and use surnames when available.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
