Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is seeking an In-Room Dining Order Taker to be the primary contact for upscale in-room meals and beverages, using the OpenTable/ Micros systems to take orders and finalize checks. You will upsell strategically and ensure timely delivery with accurate information for servers.

The role requires knowledge of the menu and wine list, strong communication, and flexibility including weekends and holidays in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Candidate should possess excellent communication skills.
• Previous food and beverage experience in hotel preferred.
• Room Service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take orders for guests and summarize accurate details.
• Answer phones promptly and follow service scenarios to encourage upselling.
• Enter orders into the point-of-sale system and ensure correct billing.
• Coordinate amenity deliveries and verify satisfaction with guests.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
