Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC in Franklin, Tennessee is seeking an AM shift cook to prepare culinary delights for our guests and hotel clientele, with a focus on food appearance, quality, and the dining experience.

The role requires following recipes, maintaining food safety and sanitation, and coordinating with team members to ensure timely service. The ideal candidate has a culinary certificate or degree and 3–6 months in a food/beverage setting, with strong knife skills and English fluency.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Culinary certificate or degree preferred.
• 3–6 months in a food/beverage services environment or establishment.
• Strong knowledge of operating industrial sized ovens and cooking ranges.
• Possess knowledge of preparing different types of cuisines, relishes, soups and salads.
• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
• Understand and knowledgeable of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items and carry containers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards.
• Start food items ahead of time without over-preparing.
• Assemble items to match orders accurately.
• Date and rotate perishables; maintain proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use and line setup.
• Note out-of-stock items and shortages.
• Keep buffet stocked and stocked items organized.
• Control food costs, waste, and usage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
