Job summary

The Harpeth Hotel in Franklin, Tennessee, is seeking an AM shift kitchen prep cook to deliver quality dishes from the pantry, fry stations and other areas. You will prepare items according to menus, maintain sanitary standards, and contribute to a seamless dining experience for guests and staff.

Candidates should have a high school education or equivalent, a culinary certificate or degree preferred, and 3–6 months of food/beverage experience.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Culinary certificate or degree preferred.
• 3–6 months in a food/beverage environments.
• Knowledge of industrial ovens and cooking ranges.
• English reading, speaking and understanding required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Start prep for items ahead of time and manage portions.
• Assemble multiple orders accurately and quickly.
• Rotate perishables and maintain proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use and plan preparation accordingly.
• Assist in keeping buffet stocked and presentable.
• Contribute to food cost control and waste reduction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
