Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Technician at Scott AFB, IL to support DISA-provided DISN services in a 24/7 environment. The role involves fault isolation, incident analysis, ticket management, and coordination with multiple service providers to restore networks and services.

Responsibilities include monitoring, fault analysis, and escalation in a Tiered NOC setting, with technical proficiency across routers, switches, and DSN components. A DoD background and IAT Level 2 certification are required.

Qualifications

Active Secret clearance required and ability to obtain Top-Secret.
High school diploma and 2-4 years of experience.
DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) at start date.
Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance management.
Advanced knowledge in routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching.
General understanding of network topologies, transport and IP.

Responsibilities

Create and update tickets and manage ticket queue.
Triage and manage tickets across technologies; provide feedback for tickets of concern.
Monitor network events and element management in real-time 24/7 across multiple tools.
Conduct fault analysis and correlation to drive incident resolution.
Identify root causes, isolate faults, and coordinate corrections with stakeholders.
Maintain a centralized known error database for defects and workarounds.
