Job summary

Signature Aviation in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Airside Experience Specialist to be the face of our private terminal, delivering hospitality and hands-on operations for guests, crew, and aircraft.

You will work outdoors around active aircraft, operate ground service equipment, supervise safe procedures, and ensure an exceptional, service-first experience from wheels down to wheels up.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass company background checks and airport background check requirements to receive and maintain an airport security badge.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment.
• Valid driver's license; CDL may be required in some locations.
• Ability to pass color vision test for inspecting aviation fuel.
• Preferred: 3–6 months experience in aviation or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct airside operations safely and efficiently per SOPs and communicate effectively to complete tasks.
• Collaborate with guests, clients, vendors, and crew to meet service needs (fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power, potable water, parking, marshalling, wing walking, catering, towing).
• Prepare for arriving/departing aircraft, identify open tasks, and report safety concerns.
• Operate and drive ground service equipment (fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, stairs).
• Load/unload luggage and cargo to/from aircraft and passenger vehicle or facilities.
• Provide professional guest service with a positive, helpful attitude.
• Offer safe transportation when driving shuttle vehicles for guests and luggage.
• Maintain safe, clean ramps and operations; manage fuel handling and documentation.
• Understand and enforce all safety, guest service, and security requirements; stop work when unsafe conditions arise and report concerns.
• Follow emergency response procedures during critical events.
• Understand and enforce security protocols (physical, cyber, data).
• Create accurate records of time worked and services performed.
