Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an Airside Electrical Engineer II to design unit electrical systems for Airside HVAC products, including control panels and wiring. You will lead design efforts, validate concepts, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 3 years of electrical engineering experience, with travel up to two weeks domestically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of electrical engineering experience.
• HVAC electrical design experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and design standards (UL/CSA, NEC).

Responsibilities

• Develop control box layout designs and wire harness routing.
• Lead electrical designers and guide design requirements.
• Plan validation tests and analyze results.
• Coordinate agency approvals and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with product management and operations.
• Support DFMEAs and risk assessments.
• Contribute to design reviews and documentation.
