Job summary

ED Wallach Search Group is seeking a Sales Director to drive revenue in the U.S. airport and aviation security market from McLean, VA. You will develop strategy, manage a robust pipeline, and close high-value security technology deals with airport executives and government stakeholders.

You will lead cross-functional teams, expand key accounts, and stay ahead of industry trends while traveling ~50% to engage with major international and civil airports.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of successful sales experience selling complex technology in security/aviation domains.
• Established relationships within international civil airport security/force protection communities.
• Strong understanding of airport security, counter-UAS, aviation tech, or related markets.
• Exceptional executive presence, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder sales campaigns from discovery through close.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate independently in a fast-paced growth environment.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50%.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth across major international and civil airport customers.
• Build and leverage relationships with airport executives, security leaders, and industry stakeholders.
• Develop, qualify, and manage a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities.
• Lead complex sales engagements from initial contact through negotiation and close.
• Expand existing accounts by introducing new capabilities and solutions.
• Stay ahead of customer requirements, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, and networking events.
• Partner with internal teams to develop compelling customer solutions and proposals.
• Maintain accurate pipeline data, forecasts, and business updates.
• Proactively identify new opportunities through networks, referrals, outreach, and business development.
