The City of Colorado Springs is seeking an Airport Properties Specialist I to join the Properties team. The role focuses on negotiating, preparing and enforcing leases, licenses, permits, and contracts for airport facilities.

You will review agreements, manage financial obligations, support permits and tenancy compliance, and produce monthly revenue and aging reports for management. Strong knowledge of codes, accounting principles, and aviation terms is required.

• Knowledge of modern office technology and supporting software.
• Familiar with federal, state and local codes, laws and regulations.
• Understanding of general aviation terms, requirements and regulations.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures in real estate context.
• Ability to read and interpret contractual documents.
• Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to calculate financial obligations in contracts.

• Prepare complex maps, plans, charts and other graphics.
• Coordinate projects with stakeholders and City/Airport departments.
• Collect certificates of insurance and calculate contractual adjustments.
• Data entry for billing applications and assist aging reports and collections.
• Draft permits, license agreements, and leases for current and new tenants.
• Conduct tenant compliance inspections and monitor improvements.
• Evaluate revenue streams against benchmarking and prepare monthly reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
