Job summary

City of Colorado Springs is seeking a Finance Analyst I for the Colorado Springs Airport to perform a variety of financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting tasks. You will develop and maintain budgets from multiple funding sources, manage grants, and prepare financial reports in PeopleSoft and Excel.

You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local funding rules, assist with policy development, and provide documentation for audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field from an accredited college or university.
• One year of full-time professional financial analytical experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local funding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update budgets from multiple federal, state and local funding sources.
• Perform grant management tasks such as application, budget creation, revisions and amendments.
• Prepare and analyze grant budgets and set up appropriate line items to align with accounting systems.
• Analyze and maximize the utilization of multiple funding sources.
• Review and analyze budget requests from project managers.
• Assist with monitoring financial transactions and reconciling ledgers.
• Prepare reports using PeopleSoft and Excel; provide audit documentation.
• Support development of financial policies and procedures.
