Job summary

SP+ seeks a Wheelchair Assistant to perform passenger assistance at an airport facility in the United States. The role involves pushing passengers in wheelchairs to gates, aiding with luggage movement, and maintaining safety procedures while delivering friendly, attentive service.

The position requires physical stamina, the ability to obtain an airport badge, and clear background/drug screening. Prior customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to clear a background and drug screen.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and push up to 300 lbs.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication using proper grammar.
• Able to obtain airport badge.

Responsibilities

• Push wheelchair passengers to and from gates.
• Roll customer-occupied wheelchair safely down the jet bridge.
• Ensure wheel brakes are in place prior to exit.
• Complete wheelchair or incident reports as needed.
• Follow dispatcher gate orders.
• Maintain a friendly, attentive attitude toward passengers.
• Build professional relationships with staff and airport personnel.
• Exceed customer service standards.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
