Job summary

CLEAR is hiring an Operations Manager to join our airport leadership team in San Diego. You will oversee a team of hourly Ambassadors, reporting to the General Manager, and drive daily operations on the floor at the airport.

The role emphasizes hands-on coaching in security, service, and sales, with a focus on metrics, staff development, and adherence to policy and TSA requirements. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in a customer-facing operation (e.g. retail, hospitality, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and influence others.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with employee engagement, customer satisfaction, sales and adherence to compliance standards.
• Proficiency in using technology daily in work.
• Must complete a government background investigation.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Ability to follow CLEAR, airport, state and federal policies and procedures.
• Availability for non-traditional schedules (weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings).

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in essential duties for efficient station operation.
• Ensure CLEAR and TSA policy and procedures with high security and integrity.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and development of Ambassadors.
• Coach, mentor, and train the team to achieve sales and customer service goals.
• Assist with employee relations and investigations as needed.
• Analyze metrics and customer feedback to improve team performance.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Spend at least 80% of time on the floor in a customer-facing environment at the airport.
